Description

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will deliver safe, high‑quality emergency care in rural and remote healthcare settings. You’ll work across a broad scope of practice, often as part of a close‑knit multidisciplinary team, responding to a diverse range of presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver emergency nursing care across triage, resuscitation and acute presentations
  • Assess, plan and implement patient care in line with clinical guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams
  • Respond effectively in high‑pressure and time‑critical situations
  • Contribute to safe, culturally respectful care within rural and remote communities

Requirements

Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration
Minimum two years post‑graduate clinical experience
Strong Emergency Department experience
Triage experience (formal triage qualification highly desirable)
Resuscitation competency
Cannulation skills
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
Nursing or Nursing/Midwifery qualification
