Description
As a Registered Midwife, you will provide comprehensive maternity care across the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal continuum. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, often in settings that require a high level of clinical autonomy and sound judgement.
Contracts are short‑term and flexible, offering the opportunity to gain valuable remote experience while exploring one of Australia’s most distinctive regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence‑based midwifery care
- Deliver care across Birth Suite, Antenatal and Postnatal services
- Respond effectively to obstetric and neonatal emergencies
- Support women, babies and families through culturally safe care practices
- Work collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
- Uphold professional, safety and quality standards

Requirements
Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration (dual registration highly desirable)
Minimum two years post‑graduate midwifery experience
Recent, hands‑on experience across Birth Suite, Antenatal and Postnatal care
Confidence managing emergency situations with strong clinical judgement
Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in diverse clinical environments
Genuine interest in working with culturally diverse and remote communities
Current certifications in:
Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Foetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP or OFSEP)
